My girlfriend and I stopped here for a late dinner after exploring the Lake Superior area. 10/13/24. We were served by J-9. That's her nickname. It was a great friendly atmosphere. J-9 made us feel completely comfortable. I got the boar burger and my lady got the big piggy. They smoke their own meat and have in house made sauce. The food was perfectly cooked. If you're ever out that way. It's definitely worth a visit. The bill was 51. I think they got me on my beers because our meals were under 20 each. I didn't see any meals over 20. I hope we make a tradition to come here once a year.

While visiting family in Solon Springs we decided to try the Hog Wild. After reading a few review, mostly great, the few bad reviews put us off a bit. We decide to try it anyway and are very glad we did. We were immediately seated and drinks were there shortly. The choices of seating was table, high top, bar or outside. The menu, specials, drink choices were all explained very pleasantly. And most importantly, the food was great. The poutine cajun mac, BBQ chicken ranch salad and the one pound loaded potato were terrific. The presentation and service was spot on and the ambiance comfortable. All in all a very nice evening. It is a rarity when I go into a place that looks sooo delicious online and when I get there it continues to blow my mind, Hog Wild did just that! Between the ambience in the restaurant, the friendly staff and patrons, the drinks, and of course, the amazing food, I HIGHLY recommend you stop here for one of Kim's Famous Bloody Mary's and some out of this world BBQ. I haven't even talked about their seafood, mac and cheese, or BBQ sauce. Located in Solon Springs it is SO worth the drive from Duluth!

Such a great place to stop in for some delicious BBQ on the way home from a busy weekend away at the cabin! Fun atmosphere, fast service & yummy food! We all left stuffed & satisfied.

Yum!! So glad we decided to pull of the highway and try this gem out! The food was delicious the service was great and the vibes/atmosphere was fun! Shrimp Caprese salad 10/10 Pig Pen Spud 10/10 Kids Pulled Pork 10/10 Our server with the undercut haircut was amazing!

Came in expecting just to get lunch with a friend, but ended up getting the Sunday Seafood boil. One of the BEST seafood boils I’ve ever had. Staff were friendly and welcoming, good drinks, and the wait til for the food was relatively short!! Definitely will be coming back and recommend this place!

The Four Meat Platter with mac-n-cheese, baked beans and cornbread was amazing! Lots went home due to big portions. Add a beer and you have a perfect, smoked meal(s). Service very good... Attentive... Helpful!
